Regulations of participation
These conditions of participation apply to all participants in the Engadin Cycling Marathon.
All persons who have reached the age of 18 (cut-off date 04.07.2021) are eligible to start.
Helmets are compulsory.A medical examination is recommended.
The participant is registered when he/she has accepted the conditions of the organizers by signing the fully completed registration form and the entry fee has been received on the specified account. Late payment of entry fees and possible bank transfer fees will be charged.
The participant acknowledges that the organizers are not liable for accidents or other unforeseen events before, during or after the events.
The participant is responsible for ensuring that he/she is covered by liability insurance with an insurance company licensed in Switzerland.
The road traffic regulations must be rigorously observed. The routes are not closed! The participants will be supervised on motorcycles on all routes by organs of the organizers.
The instructions of the road supervisors have to be obeyed immediately. In case of punished violations of the StVO, the personal data of the participants will be forwarded to the authorities.
Those who behave unsportsmanlike will be taken out of the classification. Likewise, the organizers can take participants out of the classification who obviously cannot reach the checkpoint in time.
Start numbers will only be issued to each participant personally upon presentation of the deposit receipt. The start numbers are to be attached at the place given by the organizer well visibly. Participation with the start number of another rider, passing on the start number to another rider, or any other incident determined by the organization will lead to exclusion from the competition.
The classification will be done in different age categories, each for men and women on the long - and short distance.
There is no separate mountain bike classification.
Accompanying vehicles are not allowed. If a participant is directly accompanied by a vehicle, the participant will be disqualified.
A bike service will be provided at the aid stations. Nevertheless, each participant has to carry a spare tube. Spare parts must be paid immediately in cash.
Accompanying persons will not be given any food at the refreshment stations without exception.Participants are requested not to throw away any waste.
Each participant is obliged to return the transponder at the end of the race. If for an important reason the transponder cannot be returned immediately after the event, it can be returned 10 working days after the event by mail to the address of the organizer. In case of loss or non-return of the transponder within the mentioned period, the organizer will charge a fee of CHF 50,-.
In case of bad weather or other unforeseen events, the organizers have the right to change the routes, shorten them or change the time limit. In case of danger, a cancellation or abandonment by the executive is also possible. In case of cancellation of the events due to force majeure or by the authorities there is no claim for refund of the entry fee. In case of cancellation by the participant there is also no claim for refund of the entry fee. A transfer of the entry fee to another participant is not possible.
The registration/deposit for the bike marathon must be made by the participant via the official internet registration. Any other registration or deposit will not be accepted and is not valid.
By registering, participants agree that their address data may be passed on to sponsors, to service providers (photo service, timekeeping) or to third parties for services. Participants who do not wish their addresses to be passed on must notify the organizer in writing.
Participants agree to the use of photographic material from the race for the illustration of ranking lists, websites and for other PR purposes of the organizer and third parties.
By registering, participants consent to the publication of their name, place of residence and year of birth on official start/ranking lists in printed or electronic form by the organizer or third parties. This consent is a prerequisite for participation.
