  • What am I looking forward to most about the Engadin Cycle Marathon?

I've been taking part in the Engadin Cycle Marathon since 2010 and still look forward to the tingling time just before the start. All the anticipation, the excitement and the rising pulse have fascinated me for years. That's why I'm always one of the first people at the start early in the morning to soak up the special race atmosphere.

  • Describe your area of responsibility in a few words

In my role as OC President, I make sure that all the threads come together and I constantly monitor all areas from a bird's eye view. As race director, I am at the forefront of the race and accompany the pack at the front. I'm also in constant radio contact with all those involved in ensuring safety throughout the event.

  • What is your favourite thing about the Engadin Cycle Marathon region

It's my home. I was born and grew up in Zernez and am happy every day to be able to live here where others go on holiday. I'm even happier to see my two little daughters growing up here now. It's a great privilege to be able to rediscover the great diversity of the different seasons again and again

  • Your insider tip in the region

The place where you meet me very often is Alp Munt in Zernez - definitely an insider tip, far away from mass tourism. You can also find me here because I've been an alp master for years and have worked as an alpine dairyman myself. From there you have a wonderful view of the imposing Piz Linard.
